Orphaned or Injured Wildlife |
|
If you find orphaned wildlife, please confine it in a safe, warm container, do not give it food or water, and call for assistance. The shorter the time from discovery to treatment the better the chances for a full recovery and a normal life. Although they are cute and cuddly, they do require special care, formula and treatment, and cannot be “tamed”.
If you find injured adult wildlife, please do not try to pick it up. If it is in an area you can reach, confine it to protect it from further injury (clothes basket, box, or any object to confine it safely) and call for assistance.
